Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Appling Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Appling Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Lane had 15 digs and one assist. Lane is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Appling Christian Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coming up, Trinity Christian will venture away from home to take on Savannah Athletic Association at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Appling Christian Academy, they will welcome Brunswick Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 12th.
