Orting extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 11-11 in the process. They lost 18-7 to Franklin Pierce. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Orting has suffered since April 17th.

As for Franklin Pierce, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-1. The result was nothing new for Franklin Pierce, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

For Franklin Pierce's part, Kiley Sledge made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Sledge has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Leila Kennach was incredible, firing off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5.
