Baseball Game Preview: St. Peter Saints vs. Hutchinson Tigers

St. Peter is 0-3 against Hutchinson since May of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Saints will welcome the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Peter comes in on six and Hutchinson on four.

On Thursday, St. Peter beat Waseca 7-3.

Hutchinson let Southwest Christian stack five runs on them in the seventh inning on Saturday but luckily Hutchinson prevailed anyway. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Stars 7-6. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Stars on their field since May 18, 2023.

St. Peter's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hutchinson, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
