Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Providence Prep

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Immanuel Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Providence Prep Rams by a score of 65-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Immanuel Christian was led to victory by Carlos Acu?a and Jayson Chang. Acu?a dropped a triple-double with 14 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists, while Chang on his way to 18 points and five boards. Acu?a is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 20 games he's played. Noah Ayala was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Immanuel Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Immanuel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-13. As for Providence Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.

Immanuel Christian has already played their next contest, a 61-49 win against Trinity Christian Academy on the 22nd. Providence Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
