Baseball Recap: Spiro Comes Up Short

If Spiro was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Arkoma last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Wister Wildcats by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Spiro's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Wister, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Spiro will square off against Beggs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wister, they will challenge Panama at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Razorbacks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
