Basketball Recap: Glendora Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Glendora dropped to 8-5 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Ontario Christian Knights by a score of 64-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Tartans still had to take the loss.

As for Ontario Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games.

Leading Ontario Christian to victory were Mason Salazar and Heaven Chea. Salazar shot 50% from the field to rack up 22 points, while Chea posted 20 points. The contest was Salazar's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Steen, who had eight points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendora will take on Ayala in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tartans will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups. As for Ontario Christian, they will be home for the holidays to greet Los Osos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.21 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
