Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Hillers vs. Laurel Highlands Mustangs

The Trinity Hillers will head out on the road to take on the Laurel Highlands Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Wednesday, Trinity came up short against Upper St. Clair and fell 6-2. That's two games in a row now that the Hillers have lost by exactly four runs.

Trinity saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karson Hathaway, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Laurel Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to Belle Vernon.

Brody Kutchman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Nick Crouch also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Laurel Highlands, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Trinity couldn't quite finish off Laurel Highlands in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 and fell 8-6. Can the Hillers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
