Football Recap: Nixon Mustangs vs. New Braunfels Unicorns
Nixon and New Braunfels squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nixon had to settle for second. They were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of the Unicorns. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Unicorns are ranked 159th).

Nixon lost despite a true team effort on offense.
