Softball Recap: Fillmore's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fillmore waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hueneme Vikings by a score of 11-7. That's more bragging rights for the Flashes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fillmore saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Estrella, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Those three hits gave Estrella a new career-high.

Fillmore hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hueneme struck out 13 times.

Fillmore now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hueneme, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-8.

Fillmore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 19-0 victory against Carpinteria on the 1st. As for Hueneme, they have also already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Nordhoff on the 1st.
