Rockingham County had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They blew past the Morehead Panthers 16-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-4 last Wednesday.

Ethan Bognar and Nick Rumbley did most of the damage at the plate: Bognar scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Rumbley went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Bognar has posted since back in April of 2024. Hudson Deel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Rockingham County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morehead only posted an OBP of .345.

Rockingham County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Morehead, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
