Softball Recap: Holt Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Holt's offense. They came up short against the Holy Spirit Catholic Saints on Tuesday, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-13 back in March.

Holt has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Holy Spirit Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12-1.

Coming up, Holt will take on Bibb County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ironmen are facing the Choctaws at the right time seeing as the Choctaws are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Holy Spirit Catholic, they will square off against Northridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
