While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Cougars are ranked 34th).
Merritt Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Carsonville-Port Sanilac, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Everything came up roses for Merritt Academy against Carsonville-Port Sanilac in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 62-0 win.
