Fort Payne is headed into Tuesday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They lost 56-33 to Scottsboro on Friday. The game marked Fort Payne's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Southside can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 47-43 victory over Athens.

Southside's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Fort Payne, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Fort Payne came out on top in a nail-biter against Southside in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 40-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Payne since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
