Basketball Recap: Lakeview Comes Up Short

Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 45-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Montcalm Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 51-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Central Montcalm, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lakeview Wildcats duke it out with the Newaygo Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newaygo will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lakeview surely won't give up without a fight. Central Montcalm will take on Chippewa Hills in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
