Basketball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monticello can now relate to. They lost 65-42 to the Western Albemarle Warriors on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since January 17th.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Western Albemarle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

While Monticello had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
