Kankakee Valley is a perfect 3-0 against West Central since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Kougars will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m.

Kankakee Valley fell victim to Roncalli and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Royals, falling 10-0. The Kougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, West Central waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Panthers.

Jalie Glasford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sydney Mellon and Brooklynn Lattimore did most of the damage at the plate: Mellon went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Lattimore went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Kankakee Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for West Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Kankakee Valley took their victory against West Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Kougars repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
