Basketball Recap: Surrey Takes a Loss

Surrey lost against Towner-Granville-Upham back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Surrey Mustangs took a 72-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Towner-Granville-Upham Titans. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Surrey's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Towner-Granville-Upham, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

When Surrey and Towner-Granville-Upham next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Surrey will square off against Bishop Ryan and their 12-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Towner-Granville-Upham will try to stop Westhope/Newburg's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on February 4th.
