Volleyball Game Preview: Clovis East Timberwolves vs. Bakersfield Christian Eagles + Official Tickets

The Clovis East Timberwolves will head out to challenge the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Clovis East lost 3-0 to Buchanan on Thursday. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

While Clovis East was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Buchanan's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield Christian entered their tilt with Garces Memorial on Thursday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since August 27th.

Bakersfield Christian took Garces Memorial into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 16-14.

Bakersfield Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Clovis East, their loss dropped their record down to 13-17.

Clovis East couldn't quite get it done against Bakersfield Christian in their previous matchup back in September of 2018 as they fell 2-0. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
