Softball Recap: Kalamazoo Christian's Undefeated Season over After Ten Games

If Kalamazoo Christian was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Pennfield on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell 7-3 to the Wayland Wildcats on Friday. The game marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cecile Ybema made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kalamazoo Christian fell to 9-1. As for Wayland, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

While Kalamazoo Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
