Volleyball Recap: Twin Loup Takes a Loss

Twin Loup was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sandhills Valley Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on October 2nd.

Jaelynn Blackburn paced Twin Loup's offense, picking up 11 kills. Blackburn got some help from LoReena Schauda and her 14 assists. Finally, Blackburn was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Twin Loup's loss dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Sandhills Valley, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-19 record.

Twin Loup has already played their next contest (against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sandhills Valley, they will welcome Arthur County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
