Soccer Game Preview: Jenkins vs. Bradwell Institute

Jenkins is 1-6 against Bradwell Institute since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warriors will take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Jenkins proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by eight) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand Windsor Forest a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Bradwell Institute fell victim to Greenbrier and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Bradwell Institute can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Greenbrier are ranked 18th).

Bradwell Institute has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Jenkins, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.

Jenkins might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Bradwell Institute when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
