Central and Bellefonte are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. Central will head out to challenge Bellefonte at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central will be strutting in after a win while Bellefonte will be coming in after a loss.

Central barely beat Penns Valley Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Central never let Penns Valley Area get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won six in a row.

Central got a great performance from Coltin Harbaugh as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Troy McNichol was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Kade Robison was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Bellefonte came up short against Tyrone on Tuesday and fell 9-6.

Bellefonte also got a good showing from Carsen Henry, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.

At the plate, Peyton Vancas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Isaac Gall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

The victory got Central back to even at 1-1. As for Bellefonte, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Central might still be hurting after the 19-4 defeat they got from Bellefonte when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
