Recap: Timberline Blazers vs. O'Dea Fighting Irish

The Timberline Blazers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of O'Dea. While losing is never fun, Timberline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while O'Dea is ranked 33rd).

Despite the loss, Timberline still got an impressive performance from Kenyon Simmons, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Simmons' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Tichenor was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Timberline now has a losing record at 3-4. As for O'Dea, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Timberline will be home for the holidays to greet Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Kitsap comes in still looking for their first win of the season. O'Dea will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rainier Beach at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
