Soccer Game Preview: Landstown vs. Ocean Lakes

The Landstown Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Ocean Lakes Dolphins at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Landstown will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal last Friday, then bounced right back against Green Run on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Stallions. Landstown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ocean Lakes won against Salem on Friday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. The Dolphins came out on top against Tallwood by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Ocean Lakes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Tallwood are ranked 151st).

Landstown is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five contests. As for Ocean Lakes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.
