Softball Recap: Davie Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Davie barely beat East Forsyth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Davie War Eagles blew past the East Forsyth Eagles 9-1 on Friday. Considering the War Eagles have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Davie's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for East Forsyth, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davie will challenge Central Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Forsyth, they will face off against Scotland at 6:00 p.m. on March 14th.
