Baseball Recap: Leland Comes Up Short

Leland was the 9-6 winner over Branham when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell 5-1 to the Bruins on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brady Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Leland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Branham, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

While Leland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
