Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Golden Gales vs. Pickerington Central Tigers

Lancaster is 0-10 against Pickerington Central since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Lancaster Golden Gales will square off against the Pickerington Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lancaster took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They strolled past Teays Valley with points to spare, taking the game 69-50. The victory was some much needed relief for the Golden Gales as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Pickerington Central waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They snuck past the Warriors with a 67-61 win.

Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Pickerington Central, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Lancaster came up short against Pickerington Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 66-54. Can Lancaster avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
