Basketball Recap: Tuscola Triumphs

On Monday, the Tuscola Warriors didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Charleston Trojans, but they still walked away with a 39-33 victory. The squad ran away with 32 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Charleston's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mickaylee Patton, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Brie Tomlinson, who earned seven points.

The victory made it two in a row for Tuscola and bumps their season record up to 4-3. As for Charleston, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Tuscola will venture away from home to challenge Rantoul at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charleston, they will welcome Mahomet-Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
