Basketball Recap: Lincoln Lutheran Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln Lutheran had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals by a score of 60-51. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-38 back in February.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ty Bennett, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 15 points. Bennett is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Parker Volk was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points.

Lincoln Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Doniphan-Trumbull and nudges their season record down to 19-8.

As of now, neither Lincoln Lutheran nor Doniphan-Trumbull have any future games scheduled.
