Softball Recap: Kosciusko Wins Going Away Against Louisville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kosciusko). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Louisville Wildcats an 18-0 shutout on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Whippets with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Kosciusko and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Louisville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3-1.

Coming up, Kosciusko will head out on the road to square off against Louisville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisville has already played their next matchup (against Kemper County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
