Volleyball Recap: Wiley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wiley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holly Wildcats. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Wiley ultimately came up short, they really made Holly work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 27-25, 16-25, 15-9.

Lylah Reinhardt paced Wiley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Reinhardt also shared the team's lead in assists with Jacee Kravig: they picked up 14 each. Gaige Pankey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Wiley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Holly, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Wiley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Granada on the 26th. As for Holly, after both having extra time off, they and Crowley County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
