Volleyball Recap: Ansonia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Ansonia was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wilby on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers came up short against the Holy Cross Crusaders on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost six in a row.

Ansonia took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Alexa Ruggia, who had 16 digs and one assist.

Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Holy Cross, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
