Basketball Game Preview: Encampment Tigers vs. Little Snake River Rattlers

The Encampment Tigers will face off against the Little Snake River Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Encampment will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Saratoga, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Encampment came out on top against Saratoga by a score of 52-44 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Little Snake River). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 85-82 victory over Saratoga on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Rattlers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Encampment better keep an eye on Bridger Cozzens. He was instrumental in Little Snake River's win, going 14-for-27 on his way to 35 points and three steals. Those 35 points gave Cozzens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tymber Cozzens, who posted 17 points and six assists.

Little Snake River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Little Snake River's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Encampment, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
