Baseball Recap: Augusta Comes Up Short

Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Osseo-Fairchild Thunder, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 back in April.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Osseo-Fairchild, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Augusta is taking a road trip to take on Melrose-Mindoro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Osseo-Fairchild, they will welcome Eleva-Strum at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Cardinals have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
