Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alcovy). They were the clear victors by a 67-44 margin over the Ola Mustangs on Friday. The Tigers have beaten the Mustangs the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Ola's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Lewis, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Clark, who posted eight points and 11 boards.

Alcovy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Ola, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Alcovy will be taking part in a tournament against Rockdale County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ola, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-29 loss against Carrollton on the 22nd.
