Hawthorne is 7-1 against Inglewood since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cougars will welcome the Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Hawthorne and seven for Inglewood.

Hawthorne fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Leuzinger on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Olympians by a score of 3-2.

Santiago Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Inglewood lost 22-1 to Beverly Hills on Friday.

Inglewood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Hawthorne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Everything went Hawthorne's way against Inglewood in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Hawthorne made off with a 17-7 win. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
