Khloe Rodgers went supernova, going 11-for-27 on her way to 30 points and eight steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 28 points. Another player making a difference was Alexis Gregory, who posted eight points and 18 boards.
South Fork was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Cardinal Newman's also-impressive total of 11.
Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Jupiter Christian, posting a 56-10 win. Fans of the Rams have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
John Carroll Catholic's win came from a few key players South Fork will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ja'Zaria Walker, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds. She has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: she's posted one of at least 50% every time she's hit the court this season. Leah Denaud was another key player, shooting 60% from the field en route to 15 points.
South Fork now has a winning record of 2-1. As for John Carroll Catholic, their record now sits at 5-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Fork has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.3 boards per game. However, it's not like John Carroll Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 29.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
