Soccer Recap: Atchison Takes a Loss

After flying high against Leavenworth on Thursday, Atchison came back down to earth. The Phoenix fell just short of the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Friday. If Atchison were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Maranatha Christian Academy when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Atchison's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atchison will host Wyandotte on Tuesday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Cair Paravel at 6:00 p.m.
