Basketball Game Preview: Urbana University Illineks vs. Calvary Christian Academy Knights

The Urbana University Illineks will head out to face off against the Calvary Christian Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana University has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 5.

Last Thursday, Urbana University ended up a good deal behind Cornerstone Christian and lost 60-42.

Urbana University's loss came about despite a quality game from Olisa Allanah, who posted 19 points. Tristen Ting was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Arthur-Okaw Christian 78-46. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 704th, while the Conquering Riders are ranked 341st).

This is the second loss in a row for Calvary Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-14. As for Urbana University, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Urbana University couldn't quite finish off Calvary Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 44-42. Can Urbana University avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
