Baseball Game Preview: West Iredell Warriors vs. Hickory Red Tornadoes

For the second straight game, West Iredell will face off against Hickory. The Warriors will welcome the Red Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Iredell has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Iredell lost 12-5 to Hickory on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Red Tornadoes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Owen Love made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win was the third in a row for Hickory, bringing their record up to 8-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
