Volleyball Recap: Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falls Short Against Ranked Desert Oasis

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas faced Desert Oasis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Falcons fell just short of the Diamondbacks by a score of 2-1. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Diamondbacks earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Desert Oasis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.

Coming up, Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will welcome Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Desert Oasis, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Mater Academy East Las Vegas on the 5th.
