Serra had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Maywood CES on Saturday. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Wolfpack. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

CJ HUGHES was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of MARC EMMERMAN, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Serra's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Maywood CES, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Serra wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-4 loss against Bishop Amat on the 8th. As for Maywood CES, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Elizabeth on the 7th.
