Basketball Game Preview: Burlington Demons vs. Elkhorn Elks

The Burlington Demons will take on the Elkhorn Elks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Burlington ended up a good deal behind Union Grove and lost 54-38. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Broncos are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Elkhorn didn't have quite enough to beat Beloit Memorial on Friday and fell 71-68.

Elkhorn's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Burlington, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Burlington was able to grind out a solid victory over Elkhorn when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 47-37. Does Burlington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Elkhorn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
