Softball Recap: Kemp Comes Up Short

Kemp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Van Vandals, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vandals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 back in March.

Kemp's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Van, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Kemp will venture away from home to face off against Kerens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.86 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Van, they will head out on the road to challenge Brownsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vandals will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
