Volleyball Recap: Fillmore Central's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fillmore Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the La Crescent Lancers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Fillmore Central not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept La Crescent between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Maddie Zwart paced Fillmore Central's offense, picking up 19 kills. Zwart got some help from Aubrey Daniels and her 18 assists. Daniels also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Norah Nagel, racking up five apiece.

Fillmore Central's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for La Crescent, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
