Basketball Recap: Plainview Comes Up Short

Plainview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 72-54 bruising from the San Angelo Central Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 77-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Plainview lost, don't look at Dominic Fulton. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 11 rebounds. Fulton's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Gomez, who posted three points.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for San Angelo Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Plainview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-43 victory against Canutillo on the 4th. As for San Angelo Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 73-68 win against Taft on the 4th.
