Football Recap: Leechburg Takes a Loss

After soaring to 48 points the game before, Leechburg was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 36-7 defeat at the hands of the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Centurions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

It was another big night for Samir Crosby, who rushed for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 175 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes for Greensburg Central Catholic. Crosby's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Greensburg Central Catholic's leading receiver Colin Snively was Crosby's top target yet again, picking up 116 receiving yards and three scores.

Leechburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Leechburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, they will challenge Bishop Canevin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
