Medfield won the last time they faced Bellingham and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Blackhawks. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups in a row.

The team relied heavily on Charlie Duggan, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Medfield's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Zilora, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Medfield pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Bellingham, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Medfield and Bellingham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Warriors will face off against Wellesley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (150 vs. 32). Meanwhile, Bellingham (ranked 273rd) will meet Blackstone Valley RVT (ranked 133rd) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
