Volleyball Recap: Davidson Day Patriots vs. Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers

Davidson Day is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Legion Collegiate Academy. The Davidson Day Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Davidson Day started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-21.

Davidson Day's loss came despite strong showings from Caroline Alexander and Sophia Bagwell. Alexander had eight digs and two aces, while Bagwell had five digs. That's the most aces Alexander has posted since back in October of 2023.

Davidson Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Cardinal Newman on the 10th.
