Nazareth Academy has gone 9-1 against Joliet Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Nazareth Academy Roadrunners will face off against the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Nazareth Academy came up short against Proviso East and fell 50-38. While losing is never fun, the Roadrunners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Pirates are ranked 142nd).

Meanwhile, Joliet Catholic won against Niles Notre Dame on Friday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Joliet Catholic took down Plainfield Central 58-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hilltoppers.

Joliet Catholic is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Nazareth Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Nazareth Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Joliet Catholic when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 51-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nazareth Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
